pTH 관련 단백질(1-34), 또는 부갑상선 호르몬 관련 단백질(Parathyroid Hormone-related Protein, PTHrP)은 초기에는 177개의 아미노산으로 구성된 전구 단백질로 번역된 후, 절단 과정을 거쳐 pTH 관련 단백질(1-34) 형태로 생성됩니다. 이 단백질은 13–18번 및 20–34번 서열에 걸쳐 두 개의 나선형(helical) 도메인을 포함하고 있으며, 인간에서는 PTHLH gene에 의해 암호화됩니다.

pTH 관련 단백질(PTHrP)의 과도한 생성은 malignancy-associated hypercalcemia(악성 종양 관련 고칼슘혈증)을 유발할 수 있어, 암 진단 및 바이오마커 연구에서 중요한 역할을 합니다.

본 항체(Antibody)는 pTH 관련 단백질(1-34)을 carrier protein에 결합시켜 토끼(Rabbit)에 면역화하는 방식으로 생성되었습니다.
